Donington Park presented much promise for Joe Collier and his CPD Kawasaki team, but the results certainly didn’t reflect the combined effort at round three for the all-new National 1000cc Superstock squad in difficult conditions. A solitary twelfth placed finish, little reward for all the hard work, that quite simply, can only be put down to a catalogue of bad luck.
“We had a few little problems that held us back,” Joe said. “It was just one of those weekends where small problems overshadowed the effort of the team and my own efforts on track. You can’t legislate for little problems like that. It’s nothing only pure bad luck, and very frustrating for us all at CPD Kawasaki.”
Reflecting on round three in general, Joe concluded: “It was such an unlucky weekend. I’m certainly not going to knock the CPD team’s efforts. We are all learning together and I’m confident we can turn it around in the coming rounds. The potential is there, and I know what I can produce when we get all our ducks in a row. Thanks to the team and of course to my personal sponsors who have stuck by me despite a tough start to the season.”
