The MCUI Motocross Commission have announced the Motocross of Nations team for the 2019 event at Assen Netherlands this September, and the Quadcross & Sidecarcross of Nations Teams for the Nations at Schwedt in Eastern Germany in October.
The Motocross of Nations Team will be:
Martin Barr MX2 Crescent Yamaha from Doagh
Jason Meara MX1 Phoenix Tools Apico Kawasaki from Loughbrickland
Stuart Edmonds Open Apico Husqvarna from Dublin
Managed again by Philip McCullough the team mixes youth and experience with Barr & Edmonds representing the Federation on numerous occasions, and Jason Meara being the ‘new boy’, although he has ridden at the Coupe de l’Avenir for the MCUI recently.
Under the management of Gordon Gilchrist , the teams for Schwedt will consist of:
Neil Campbell & Craig Parmenter, (Lisburn & England) 700 cc Zabel two stroke WSP
Gary Moulds & Steve Kirwin, (Lisburn & England) 690 AMS Husqvarna engined VMC Steve is injured at the moment and may be replaced by Australian Brian Anthony
Emma Moulds & Niki Adair (Lisburn & Randalstown)600cc AMS KTM VMC.
An experienced team that have not only represented the Federation many times, but have also ridden at this track before
Mark McLernon Wash Honda (Milton Keynes via Hillsbosough)
Dean Dillon Walsh Honda (Moira)
Justin Reid (Husqvarna) Comber
Again, Dean is the new boy and a well deserved selection, but both Mark & Justin have ridden this event many times, and both were here at the last event at Schwedt a few years ago
