Torrential Rain Halts Progress at Armoy

DM71 Road Racing headed north for the Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ and with Davy’s wrist now well on the mend he was looking for an upturn in fortunes and results at the popular National Meeting. Practices and racing at Armoy took place on Friday 27th July but Saturday’s nine race programme was abandoned due to the horrific weather conditions. On Friday evening, Magherafelt man Paul Jordan claimed his first victory of the 2018 road racing season in a dramatic Supersport race. Given the conditions of the course and the weather today, due consideration has taken place by the stewards officiating and the Clerk of the Course, in addition to senior competitors. A decision has been made in the interest of safety to abandon this meeting.
